Looks like Kyalami will be happening next year. Rumours floating of shipping agreements being signed.

Finally back to being a world championship. I just hope it doesn't mean Spa is out.

Vettel already said he won't go because it's too far away and bad for the environment.

I read this evening that the catalyst for Vettel's walkout was... Alonso.

Apparently he has deployed a lengthy monologue at every meeting since Canada to explain why he was unfairly penalized in Canada, and uses whatever example from the last race to prove him right. The race director then fails to deal with it, they go round in a circle, and this time Vettel had had enough.

Tbh this kinda backs up what Russell was hinting about, and you can't help but think that a Balestre type wouldn't have let this run for so long.

Found the original quote, apparently from AMuS:

AMuS wrote:
Schmidt also joked saying that Sainz‘s overtake on Russell was off track & similar to last year when Alonso got overtaken by three cars in the same way.

"I already know how the next drivers briefing will be. The Sainz case will be revisited and then Seb will leave again."

There was no blocking move as blatant as Alonso's in Canada this whole year. Even Stroll in Melbourne made less weaving.

I think he's not serious, he's just trolling at this point

or he must be wearing the old man stereotype, that repeats the same rant over and over

then we'll receive a radio after a position defense where he says "get off my braking zone"

DanRic felt the need to come out with a statement about his future and said he is committed to McLaren until the end of 2023.

Not sure it is his call to make.

Aparantly the only break clause is on his side (which he is refusing to exercise), thus McLaren can’t get rid of him without it costing them an arm and a leg.

Eh, Brown's throwing money around like confetti. The bill he's going to end up paying Floyd will not be small, what's another $30 million to him?

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

I guess they're doing the calculations as we speak. Is it cheaper to have another wasted year with only 1 car or pay him to stay home and put someone in there that potentially makes it a 2 car team again?

The harder someone is shouting he is not going anywhere, the more in danger he knows he is.
