I agree, F1 penalties are becoming more and more draconian, just like DTM

Next they'll make someone start from the pits for being late to a press conference

Was there any footage of him stopping? Because if he was pulling over to the left and then swung to the other side of the track and inadvertently parked it on the racing line, then yes, he should get a penalty.

There is no footage but judging by how the car was parked, it seems to be the case.

All he had to do was turn left. For whatever reason he decided to park on the racing line.

Track could be damp when the race starts, quite a lot of showers in the area in the morning.

I'll take a damp track, mild showers & inters any day in F1 now.

There doesn't seem to be a full wet tires race without people screaming about standing water and SC these days anymore.

I doubt there'll be any heavy rain during the day. Should be dry throughout the PM.

That sucks. Thank God I like this track too much to complain about it!

, it has rained quite a lot during the night, but it already stopped, so we'll probably have a completelly dry race, from start to finish.

, I agree with you and it's annoying, it seems like there's no point on having full wet tyres nowadays, as they only let the race go ahead, when it's good enough for inters and the drivers now, with all the new technologies for the helmet visors, can have a much better visibility than in the past, when we had races in much wetter situations... anyway, I also agree with you about Suzuka, I like this circuit so much, that I don't complain about it!

Just watched Sky Sports little piece on Honda. Then it hit me. They only won 1 race in their comeback spanning the v10 and v8 era, and even then that win was lucked in. I actually don't really have any real hope that they can turn it around and be a challenger at the front with these engine rules.

you forget that braun inherited all of honda's development on the car and won the championship after they pulled out

i agree that they wouldnt have been as successful, but i think it shows some level of competence and awareness of what it takes to make a competitive car at a high level.

Rosberg apparently has a headache, a bad neck & isn't feeling well.
