FIA have confirmed 3pm race start time. Its also now looking like the typhoon isn't expected to hit Japan until Monday although its still expected to rain heavily tomorrow. Quote: F1 weather forecasters Ubimet said: "Imminent threat to Japan from typhoon Phanfone is gradually unravelling."
Ubimet predicts bands of rain on Sunday, some of them heavy, with the centre of the typhoon passing between Monday morning and afternoon. Ubimet added: "The rain will largely be persistent [on Sunday]- possibly with an occasional drier interlude - but also it will become heavy at times, this more likely after midday. |

Will Buxton just said a few minutes ago on NBC that he expects the typhoon to directly impact Suzuka around midnight sunday, and "we may very well be qualifying for a Grand Prix that doesnt happen." |
