Bringing hard tyres to Silverstone is fair enough, but they've already announced that they're taking mediums and hards to Hungary (as opposed to softs and mediums last year). I can understand Lotus and Ferrari's frustation, but at the end of the day that's just the way the current system is. If Pirelli are going to be criticised by pretty much everyone in F1 after every race (despite teams/drivers originally saying that they wouldn't criticise Pirelli), can you really blame them?

There's so many flaws in the way things are run at the moment that this shit is always going to come up.

And not only that, no matter who is unhappy, it ALWAYS gets blamed on Pirelli.

Paul di Restas car has been found to be 1.5Kg underweight. Good job Force India. That's not even fucking close.

Perhaps curry was on the lunch menu...

Best solution would be to bring sets of all compounds (perhaps two of each per car) and just let the teams decided what the heck they want to do by themselves like it was about two decades ago. Interesting mix of strategies ahoy.

Good day at the track yesterday. Bit damp but no traffic issues at all. Lots of cheers for Button, Lewis, Webber and the Ferraris as they went round.

Oh, and I saw a Paul di Resta fan! He looked a bit lonely.

I feel sorry for di Resta, he had a good run and would have been strong in the race. On the other hand, this makes the grid even more interesting for tomorrow's race. He probably can't make his way back to the top10, but he'll sure going to climb up the field.

Are you sure you weren't just looking at Paul di Resta?

That fan has now killed himself due to Force India's incompetence.

Probably tied a 1.5kgs to his feet and jumped in the nearest lake.

Shame really as he did put in a cracking lap - Autosport reporting that the car was 0.5 underweight, not 1.5.

To lighten the mood, here's a fun Paul di Resta fact: one day he sent back some pasta at the Force India factory to the kitchen because, apparently, the cheese had been 'grated the wrong way'.

I wish I was making that up.

Knowing FI they probably grated it with a knife made of asbestos.

An easy solution to the teams bitching about what tyre compounds Pirelli opt to take to each race is to allow each team to select which 2 compounds they want to run at each race 2-3 weeks before each race.

If Ferrari think the Soft/Medium are right for Silverstone they could run them, If Mercedes want to run Medium/Hard's let them run them.

Would end bitching about Pirelli's choices benefiting some teams over others, Would also then be 100% the teams fault if they went with the Super-Soft at an abrasive track like Barcelona & ended up making 4-5 stops while someone on Hard's could do 1-2.

Having said all that I'd still rather the rules & restrictions about what compounds are available & what teams have to run be removed, Giving teams/driver full freedom over what tyres they run & what strategy they decide to run, Like the good old days before refueling screwed everything up ;)

Just go 'old school' and have the teams use what ever compounds they want on the car. Super Soft on front and Medium on back. Would be a logistical and development nightmare for Pirelli, but they would have to weigh that against all the negative publicity they are receiving. Might not be a bad idea. It would sort the wheat from the chaff that's for sure and eliminate bitching.

Even easier (and much cheaper) would be to walk away and leave the sport drowning in its own shit.

Williams screwed up setup work for Bottas. It was asked to raise the ride height at the rear, instead they lowered it...by a centimetre.
