You’d almost start to fear the day Lewis’ luck runs out.....

Why? He kept going when he should. He'd have been ahead even without the VSC.

He was already 28 seconds ahead, it changed nothing.

Pit stop is 27 seconds, and his was a bit long.

This VSC has robbed us from a relatively close pit exit, and possible battle in the exit lap.

So yes, nobody's saying he didn't earn it and would've been ahead, but not by 4 seconds. Not that it matters now

Also we saw with Bottas that you can lose some pace in the first lap on cold tyres.

And Bottas and Verstappen could have stayed out longer too.

This is why F1 needs gravel back. Bottas would floor it on the astroturf and still keep the place most likely.

I'd narrow the kerb a bit more, then perfect. Go wide, get punished, no chance to floor it through the car park.

Completely agree. I know the greenpart is supposed to be just an extension to recover and not put gravel on track if you miss slightly, but it defeats the point when everyone uses it as a regular line up to the gravel. So, why not just have the small curb and gravel right away? Tighter corner, harder braking zone, slower apex... Even better for racing into mainstraight

Drivers would complain about high kerbs and pull the safety BS card. U have to remember this is a spoiled generation who is used to astorturf free pass that never punishes anything.

They'd get used to it and shut up.
