He can wear it while he drives his Figaro.

Actually, I shouldn't take the piss cause its nice to see a premier league footballer in something different.

Especially because he's Belgian and awesome, of course.

Any update? Specifically whether a FIA Gala F1 highlight video was produced?

I don;t trust the guy at all but I doubt the team will be better off without him at this moment.

The verdict is finally in for JJ Lehto’s boating accident, and he has been sentenced to 2 years and 4 months in prison. New F1 driver record? :(

I feel the court did the right thing. They managed to gather convincing evidence about JJ's role as a driver. Though it may will take years until we have verdicts of court of appeal and high court.

How does that work in Finland? Here in Belgium all prisons are full, so you only go to prison if you are convicted for more than 2 years, and even then you have a high change of just getting grounded in you own house.

Torro rosso changes drivers.
I think they should have kept jaimei, dont see why they dropped him unless they move him up to redbull.

It's basically same in here. Prison sentences are shorter than what they should be. Also, when they say, the jail time is 2 years, you get half off if you are a first-timer. Then you get few months of that year on open-prison where you just check in and out daily. Also, during that maybe 9 months that you actually have to be in jail, you get holidays, free weekends outside.

But if you fill our tax return form in wrong way or you "steal" from the government, you're gonna ride the lightning - well, almost, you don't get any of those benefits.

So JJ Lehto's attorney will complain about the verdict and they have to take it to the court of appeal first, that takes probably about two years. During that time JJ is free. After that he's most likely going to jail, very rarely does the highest court take any cases on them, only if they need to form a new juridical viewpoint based on precedent case. There's a slim chance that JJ's case could be taken to the highest court as the verdict is mostly based on technical investigation and there's no eye-witnesses. I how ever don't believe that this would happen.

It is sad that JJ did what he did, he was a good commentator and seemed like a nice person. He went drunk driving and killed his friend and lost all the respect he ever had. Such a shame really.

All in all, the Finnish court system and judiciary sucks big time. A triple-murderer could be behind the bars for less than ten years and walk out free, the money he would owe to relatives of his victims doesn't mean anything to him and government would just pay about half of that money for the relatives. And it's all settled juridically.

There's my two cents, I go listen to Metallica's "...And Justice for All" now.

The official F1 site has highlights from the FIA ceremony but it looks a though that no highlights or whatsoever have actually been produced (well to be honest there was no need since no TV channel on the planet dared to show it anyway)...

I hope he goes to gp2 if he can't get a seat in f1 or go to a different series, he looked fairly good this year. Reserve driver is a waste. Seems torro rosso want to keep exploring options rather than develop the drivers. Too many options not enough race seats at that team. It's good to see young drivers get a chance though, I am a little 50/50 on the whole thing.

Jaime never did GP2, Marko prefers FR3.5. Speed & Buemi did GP2, only because there wasn't an alternative.

So out of these drivers that were in F1 in 2011:
- Heidfeld
- Senna
- Barrichello
- Petrov
- d'Ambrosio
- Di Resta
- Sutil
- Buemi
- Alguersuari
- Liuzzi
- Karthikeyan
Only four of them will get a seat; potentially three as one of them goes to Hulk.

Dropping Alguersuari is just utterly stupid. They throw him in at 19 he's continues to improve season on season despite a terrible car in 2009 and 2010 and then they kick him to the kerb as he begins to consistently put the car in the top 10/12 as the car actually improves? What?

The same thing will happen to one if not both of Ricciardo and Vergne in a season or twos time as well. Blegh.

It's so late in the silly season neither driver stands a chance of getting a ride anywhere else bar the career ending HRT.
