Legit F1 noob question....

Vettel 'dominates' now and everyone hates him. Did people hate schumi when he won every race for a decade? I'm legitimately surprised by the number of people who have been praising him in this thread.

So it'd be Red Bulls fault of Michael broke the rules? Really? I'm struggling to follow this train of "logic".

I just don't want to see Michael nearly crying tears of joy and after that, he needs to give up the podium.

Well no offense, but perhaps the best way of not losing that would be to obey the rules?

I'm not saying he should get penalised because I've not seen it, but how would it be Red Bulls fault should Michael have broken the rules? They should go fuck themselves because of it? Grow up.

Yes. No one likes someone to dominate, in anything tbh. It gets stale after awhile.

Yes.

Personally, I hate(d) him because he doesn't know how to race other drivers cleanly, but there were a lot of people who found it just as boring when he won all the time back then.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Adrenaline after seeing him getting 3rd makes me say ridiculous things, sorry for that.

I guess that depends on when he opened it. When he started using DRS before the yellows came out he shouldn't he penalised since it won't close until he brakes for the corner.

IMO

The difference is a lot of people disliked Schumacher because of questionable driving and team tactics from Ferrari. With Vettel the only thing people can moan about is he has an index finger.

What happened with Schumi? I can't really remember it, did he just open the DRS but lift slightly? If he did that then no action should be taken.

And it's mostly the way he won it: Pole, drive away from everyone, perfect stops and win it by +20 seconds.

I loved Michael when he fought for victories in the 90ies.

The great fights between Schumacher and Hill.

And the racing sucked. For every position. The 00s were pretty boring for most of it.

Alonzo on why he stopped: "I had a problem with the car"

Either he hadn't enough fuel left, or he wanted to cover up the fact he'd get slapped with a fine for just stopping....

Schummy was a ferrari driver and because there are many ferrari fans in f1 many more people loved him. Vettel is a RedBull driver, i dont see so many people cheering for redbull so many more hates him. By the way many hated schummy too. By the way, before schummy arrived at ferrari almost everyone in italy hated him: i still remember how he was booed at 94 and 95 italian gp in monza. The next year he was already a hero for italian fans.

Personally i dont really like much Vettel cause he is really fast but he is not spectacular at all: basically he can drive two ways: he start 1st and end 1st or he starts in the back and than does nothing interesting.

This felt like old school F1. Cars failing, crashing & then Alonso, Kimi & Schumacher on the podium! Best race of 2012.

Red Bull want to protest, Schumi could have used DRS in the yellow zone.
Just watched the OnBoard & he did use DRS & pass Hulkenberg going down to where Lewis' car was.

Coudn't see any yellow flags been waved though.

Check out the marshall post's/flag lights:

On the next/final lap he didn't have DRS avaliable.

yes, that actually makes every driver unlikeable.
Of course a driver deserves that, but it just makes the races uninteresting.
There was a lot of action on track and fights for 2. place, maybe even last year, but it's just not as exciting as a fight for a win.
Because of this I cannot understand someone saying that we are "unfair" or something  , but those people are people who want us to work like machines without any emotions.
