HM: Well, in the situation Sebastian was in, he had no other choice than to act the way he did.

Helmut Marko is a blind old git if he actually believes that.

http://www.formula1.com/news/interviews ... 10855.html

This whole interview reeks of BS actually. Marko thinly denies team orders instructing Mark to adjust fuel consumption, saying "We informed Mark about the situation and it is for the driver to decide", then when asked why Vettel closed so quickly, said "I think it was in the tyres."

I just can't help but laugh at this whole situation. The terrible way in which Horner has handled it, the blame within the team being thrown around and the tension it will now cause internally. Although I feel Vettel was technically at fault as well (I mean he did move over when he had no need to, the room was left to make the move), the fact Webber in fuel saving mode made it difficult was pretty unneccessary, but hey, he's a driver and he was racing and you can't really blame a racing driver for racing and he didn;t actually do anything wrong on the track (if it was two drivers from different teams it would have been Vettel 100% fault, but the fact they were teammates and the whole revs situation changes things slightly).

Anyway, it's all fun and games and tbh I'm secrelty glad it happened, I love contravoursy and tension, makes things far more interesting.

Should have kept the old points system this year

Quote:
Webber 36 pts
Button 35 pts
Hamilton 34 pts
Vettel 32 pts
Alonso 32 pts
Kubica 27 pts
Massa 26 pts
Rosberg 26 pts

And I understand it easier :p

Tilke :flag:

9/10

The top 4 within a second after 39 laps...epic. Too bad about the Red Bull brainfart. It would have been interesting with those 4 cars fighting to the finish.

9. I really enjoyed it and it's so rare to get real fights for the lead with overtaking! Especially between the team mates. It was still very hard to overtake but at least possible enough for it to be tense :)

Er, yeah - it was a controversial incident, it was between team mates and it was for the lead. It was entertaining, sure, but hey - it's the kind of thing everyone's going to have an opinion on.

I'd rather have people giving their opinion than a few pages of 'LOLOL the Red Bulls crashed!111 Amazing best race eva!111'

I know and i agree with that, what i meant was that it's really frustrating that after what happened, such an intense battle between teammates, few contacts, a crash and so much entertainment, some people still don't seem satisfied.
It's what racing should be, and not only F1, we should be able to actually jump off our seats like i personally did during this race ( :p ), it shouldn't happen in only 1 race every 10 years...but, it's my own opinion ;)

And the most fun moment oh the race, i was taking a pee :(! I've never been so quick between the toilet and the couch!

why the high points? :?

Becouse it was a good race. Top 4 stayed very close together for the biggest part of the race. We saw battles for the lead, even between team mates. We saw some big drama. It was only sure who was going to win a few laps to the end. There was a threat of rain which unfortunately didn't come, apart from those few drops. An 8 for me

No, it doesn't make a difference. The gaps only appear larger now because more points are being given out. Proportionally, the gaps are the same as before. There is no major change.

Difficult, the McLarens where a little bit faster perhaps, but in the end Red Bull could have won it due to Mclarens fuel problems. Webber, Button and Hamilton all drove a very good race, can't choose between them

Yeah, tension. You felt with the top four being so close for so long that something spectacular would happen eventually. And it did.

In the old system Rosberg is a win away from tieing the leader. However right now he's a win + 9th place from tieing the leader.

What is interesting and surprising to see, given that Vettel has been the media darling for some time and the amount of debate that's gone on at the various forums on the net, is that the reaction of nearly every F1 journalist going has been so clear-cut in favour of Mark. Normally you get at least 1 or 2 journalists who provide an alternative argument, but they all appear to be unified. It seems that the only people in the paddock who are blaming Mark are Red Bull themselves, which itself says something about the state of the team

Can't make ole Webbo feel too good about it. Guy finally has the best year of his career, and is in a solid position for the championship and his own team turns on him. :p

Which is almost no difference at all. The top of the field is largely uneffected by the change, and thats the important bit.
