The ones that stand out in my mind would be Lausitzring, Oschersleben or Sachsenring. Wild card Norisring haha that'd be messy...

Doesn't Sachsenring have a limited under of days it can be used, since it's on an industrial estate?

Yeah...sorry Carlos, you clean drove straight into the side of him there. Stroll was giving the corner entry a wide berth and Sainz just plain well drove into him. In my view the driver exiting the pits and onto the racing line HAS to take most of the blame for these incidents. They are after all coming into the corner from a much shallower angle and will naturally pinch the apex.

Yep and that's why it can't host DTM

Bilster Berg would need some major upgrades, but the layout looks interesting

I know you're joking, but seriously, I dislike that F1 constantly rejects awesome or perfectly good tracks just because
A) people say that overtaking will be impossible (how can you know for sure in advance?)
B) the ease of overtaking is no 1 determinant (if the track is challenging and exciting, who cares about overtaking)
C) FIA says that the track is unsafe and requires 30m € tilketization, otherwise it receives class 2 or 3 (at the same time they allow Baku to happen)
D) the track facilities don't meet Abu Dhabi standards (fans don't care if they had to stay on muddy hills, so why should teams care)

In my world, F1 gathers the best drivers, the best cars AND the best tracks together.

for me a suitable track must only be wide enough for 2 cars and having the runoff enough for a car not to bounce back to the track

That's pretty much the end of the Indian GP. Another magnificent racing facility consigned to the white elephant list.

Yeah, nice layout, ugly run-offs, and even worse surroundings.

Merely a copy of Istanbul Park, in parts of circuit design and empty grandstands. It's still a GP i have never watched live or highlights of. Shitty and needless. A triumph of Bernie's greed over common sense.

Found this on wiki:

Quote:
From 2011 to 2013, the race was sponsored by telecom major Airtel.[29][30]

The Indian Grand Prix had the potential to generate around $170 million in revenue and employ as many as 10,000 people.[

Quote:
Tax issues and absence (2014–2017)[edit]

The Indian Grand Prix was set to have a one-year hiatus and then return on the 2015 Formula One season calendar as confirmed by the FIA. Bernie Ecclestone later cast doubt on this, suggesting the race would be delayed until 2016,[35] and this doubt was later confirmed by Ecclestone in August 2014 in Belgium. The Indian Grand Prix was cancelled for the second consecutive year following tax disputes between the FIA and the Uttar Pradesh government.[36][37][38] The circuit, despite the placards saying "New Delhi"[39] is not located in the union territory of Delhi, but in the neighbouring state of Uttar Pradesh.[34] The government of UP now says that F1 is not a sport, but entertainment and wants to levy taxes on the event.[
