This was the first race in a long while where it was brilliant and not because of tyres. Although lord knows why everyone had brainfade seemingly. |

You'd get races like that in the (horrible) refuelling era though, an early (but not first lap) Safety Car to throw people's plans out the window and another one later on to keep them bunched up so no one can get a huge advantage... A bit like Silverstone 2003 tbh. |

I think a lot of it was because this track consists almost entirely of horrible, fiddly, one-line corners. Save for the best drivers, trying to make a pass often ends in contact. It's like the F1 equivalent of Bristol - there's only one line, so drivers resort to knocking each other out the way. |

It also adds to my belief that you need a Safety Car period early on at certain tracks. 2010 only seemingly sucked because the Renault was so fast in a straight line. Also, regarding HRT. I like having 24 cars, but it really worries me that in the past three events they've had two brake failures and a steering failure. It's dangerous. And someone with more technical knowledge than me - will this drive by Vettel make RBR rethink their strategy regarding set-up? |

Teams used to have such reliability issues all the time. Only notice it now because of the lack of unreliability in F1 now. |

It may sound silly but HRT are going around knowing they have brake problems. Also, I saw on Atlas that if you tally up the points lost by Lewis this year by McLaren, he'd be about 10 shy of Vettel. Ifs and buts of course, but it does show how monumentally abysmal McLaren has been this season, and by account how average Button has been. |
