After looking at the replays a few times I'd say it's probably a 50/50 incident and neither should solely take the blame. However, it remains that Webber is probably the most aggressive defender of position/blocker that I have seen in my time watching F1 and it was only a matter of time before he would be involved in an incident of this sort. Good driver and he's performing brilliantly right now but he should tone it down a bit on the blocking, imo.

basically it would've been better advised to move all the way over and try to get a good run into 12 and battle back, but instead he just decided he would be a stubborn dick and keep squeezing vettel. thats basically why it's his fault. hamilton made almost the same exact move on vettel earlier in the race, and vettel let him have the line and battled back into 12 and 13 and ended up keeping the spot. it's being hard but fair. theres really nothing fair about what webber did.

watch any battle with timo glock involved. gives the guy a ton of room but never gives up, keeps trying to over/under him and most of the time keeps the position or keeps it longer than he would have had he just blocked the shit out of him.

Webber has always, always been a hot head when it comes to people passing him. I think we can all recall numerous examples in the past where Mark is absolutely stubborn to the point of being stupid, when it comes to getting overtaken. And in the heat of racing, sometimes it seems even forgets when its his own team mate trying to get past. Ofcourse Sebastian should not have been so presumptious to assume that Mark would give him the necessary room either. He could've managed that maneuvre with a tad more caution and they might've ended up fine.

50-50 racing incident in my view.

Size issues are for those who have it small....

If you don't like it, don't watch it, don't reply on forums.

, if you think FOM's direction is terrible(which I totally agree) then watch GP2 to see someone really retard controlling what is to be shown.

Too bad it didn't rain more.

Oh and amazing that Red Bull was so nice for Vettel, a sign of his position in the team ?

About the Webber/Vettel incident, what's all this fuss about it ?
We should actually see that in every race because, for once, we had a true battle.
So, yes, they are teammates, but at least none of them gave up, they have massive balls, they fucked up, but i which we could see this kind of action way more often.

And again, instead of being happy about the show, people are just complaing...i'm amazed :o

Well, when was the last time two team-mates collided over the race lead? Coulthard\Hakkinen @ Austria? It's a significant event and, even more than that, it was completely unnecessary too.

Anyway, the discussion here is nothing. Atlas has managed a combined total of 1,499 posts on the issue over three dedicated threads so far.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Er, yeah - it was a controversial incident, it was between team mates and it was for the lead. It was entertaining, sure, but hey - it's the kind of thing everyone's going to have an opinion on.

I'd rather have people giving their opinion than a few pages of 'LOLOL the Red Bulls crashed!111 Amazing best race eva!111'

Ok, now on a different note, can anyone post the championship standings under the old 10-8 system? Should be fun to see, it's soo incredibly close at the front, it's turning out to be a really great, closely-fought season...

Hah, amazing. 4 points separating the top 5 after 7 races and the 8th-placed driver is only a win behind the leader.

Dear Jean Todt,

See, F1 can be fucking exciting when teammates are allowed to race each other

Signed,
F1 Fans

(Whatever you say about the "incident", it's still much better to debate stuff like this than bitch about team orders.
To the un-biased fan, anyway. I guess those within red bull won't agree, but for the first time this year something so surprising happened I jumped out of my chair in shock! That's what F1 should be all about imo. )

Most Shocking moment since "is that Glock??!?!?!" TBH....

Also, we now have the proof that statistics don't prove anything - Vitaly Petrov now has more fastest laps than Johnny Herbert and Elio de Angelis

Also, this race could never have happened under the refuelling regs and I'm really glad they're banned.

With refuelling both Vettel and Hamilton would probably have said "oh well, wait for pitstop number 2 to sort things out" and
not risked anything.

Today they knew they had to get it done on track and manned up.

Also, Mclaren shot themselves in the foot with the pitstop and they knew it, so they should feel hugely lucky to come away with a 1-2...as well as whatever the hell was going on with their fuel saving...
(They expected a safety car or something?)

Interesting article:

http://www.motorsport.com/news/article. ... 0615&FS=F1

The fact that management are taking any kind of side on this positively stupefies me. In-team brawling is exactly what the other teams want to see, and on these issues bosses are meant to practice diplomacy, at least to the press. The only reason they would take sides this obviously is because they're worried Vettel will get upset and leave for another team.

So much for Red Bull being the new, no-bullshit kind of F1 team.

I know and i agree with that, what i meant was that it's really frustrating that after what happened, such an intense battle between teammates, few contacts, a crash and so much entertainment, some people still don't seem satisfied.
It's what racing should be, and not only F1, we should be able to actually jump off our seats like i personally did during this race ( :p ), it shouldn't happen in only 1 race every 10 years...but, it's my own opinion ;)
