Hopefully they'll sell Lando's contract to Mercedes so we can see him in a proper car

Lost a lot of sympathy for Lando during the quarantine period, although he is a very good driver. I'd like to see Vandoorne at Mercedes.

Does anyone had access to this Autosport Plus article? "The car that almost propelled Minardi into extinction"

I'm intrigued by the title.

Why? I think he's been amazing - with Leclerc and Russell he's done a hell of a lot of engagement with fans in a way that we've never seen from F1 drivers before. It's been brilliant

Yeah I think he spelt "Pagenaud" wrong

An incident that not only lost my interest in that driver, but online sim racing as a substitute for real racing as a whole.

Not gone back since, fuck them if they're not taking it as seriously as everyone else involved.

Leclerc and Russell have come across as more genuine and funny, I've liked watching their content.

Lando has come across as more petulant and whiny (quitting in the middle of a charity race and uninstalling rFactor 2 after retiring from Le Mans are examples). But maybe he's just rubbing me the wrong way.

Bumping this because no way we should leave it buried in a previous page.

Also, dude, I'm 34. It's way too late in a man's life to make him question his sexuality.

the other way round works pretty well. You might think is a young Montoya with a bit more hair, but is actually Tatiana Calderón

Saw this on the Autosport forum - apparently this is what McLaren told the High Court today in a case against one of their bondholders (US Bank), who are blocking them from taking out another loan:

"Like many businesses, the Group has fallen into severe and unexpected financial difficulty as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sales of motor cars have been very heavily affected, as has the Formula 1 season. The Group is as a result now facing an impending liquidity shortfall. It has an urgent need to raise new money by no later than 17 July 2020.

"The Group’s cash flow requirements are kept under regular review by senior management. As explained by Mr Murnane [the company secretary], it is considered that: a. whilst the Group has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations as and when they fall due in the very short term, further liquidity is required to be made available by no later than 17 July 2020; and b. additional liquidity of approximately £280 million would be sufficient for the Group to be able to support its operations into 2021."

Sounds like their financial problems are even more serious than we thought

Needing x amount of money by a particular and specific date usually means that the money is going to be used to pay a matured note.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.
