Not sure if you've seen the news but it's a hot button issue right now. Judging by some of things posted its clearly one that needs to be discussed.

Normal service will be resumed before you know it.

Not sure if you've read the title of the topic. It's not because this is Hamilton related, that we need 2 pages of what is racism and what not. Plenty of possibilities to do this in the Chit Chat section.

F1 social media hinted today it is likely we'll see new tracks on calendar.

Mugello is going to be a parade to rival Monaco, but needs must.

So long as the gravel traps are left unmolested.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

He's not wrong imho, the last couple of years Bahrain has brought some decent races. And back when we rated each GP after the race, Bahrain always turned out to be one of the better rated of the season.

Technically they could have like 11 races there.

Holy Fucking SHIT, they're considering it:

I hope that Bahrain Outer layout comes true. They have the highest FIA grade to that layout already, so it's just setting the timing gates so that they work for both regular layout and outer layout on back to back weekends.

And since they probably run regular layout first weekend, the outer layout would be super grippy for most of the overtaking points. This could be wild one. Or...Toto disagrees to try it...

If some tracks are going to have double headers, it will be far more interesting if they can use different layouts. Bahrain seems capable of doing that. Silverstone could, if they are willing to let them use the old layout. 100 laps of the National layout would be fun, but not sure if they could use the old pit buildings.

Shame Austria doesn't have the old loop up to standard.

Double headers in Sochi, only if they apply ultra gimmicks like racing without front wings, random safety cars if that fucks Mercedes or simply showering the track at random either

Silverstone's old GP layout is a no-go unless they move some of the current barriers, rebuild the old ones and do some earth-moving.

No surprise there.

I remember how ellis used to defend him and say he was an amazing driver.

Webber would have won 2010 by a long shot if he was number 1 driver, and wasn't with a broken collarbone on the last 2 races....

More like Vettel almost wasted a championship being number 1 driver. Like he wasted all these 3 years.

Is it too much work? I haven't been there since 2017, but I ran the old part of the circuit (Abbey/Bridge). The old track was in good condition. Can't remember how much run off would be there if they used the old Abbey chicane.

It's not registered for racing any more. The process for that would take months

What about the historic 80s version they use for the Silverstone Classic?

Drivers will complain after 2 laps at the oval because of the constant bumping on the turns
