Well, he's right, if you look at the video it shows that Heidfeld turned in even more than Hamilton did. Don't know what Schumacher could've done differently

This is the moment they made contact:

Schumacher is not even halfway alongside Heidfeld so there's no chance of a pass. And as you can see, there was acres of space on the inside that Michael could have used but decided not to.

Do you know what can be worse? Missing the race because of a stupid girl who doesn't even like me, and the winner of the race being spoilered by my father. :flag:

And you haven't killed them?

I knew it was going to happen  The point it was that he didn't on purpose: he usually watches tv with the audio at the maxium level, so he has to talk very loudly to other people. I was in my room, with my hands on ears trying to drown all the sounds... but I still could hear him saying "Ferrari won."

It doesn't matter if he's halfway alongside or not, he's still infront of Heidfeld's rear wheels so it's just stupid to turn in then.

You do realise they have blindspots right? What's Heidfeld supposed to do, leave room incase the driver behind divebombs him?

Ofcourse he should leave room when there's someone alongside him, and I don't see anyone divebombing here

As we don't know exactly what happened before on the straight (camerman panned very late to that situation) it is difficult to judge, but from this screen you can see that Schumacher already was two-thirds of a car length alongside Heidfeld:

Basically I'd say it was just a racing incident, nothing more, nothing less.

I didn't see the race live. But what I heard from my friends and what I've seen in the clips so far was interesting and 7 points IMO...

I think was a good old-school type race - we've had a few of those this year (I think the refuelling ban is starting to kick in, making the races really quite interesting). Yeah, there were parts where not a lot was happening but it was generally quite tense - you had a battle of sorts for the lead where the guy behind was catching at times, and then behind a fascination situation with the title fight, including what will be one of the defining moments of the season, and some good racing back there too. And it was 2 hours of F1 too. At night. On one of the most challenging circuits in the world

An 8

First 10 laps was nice to follow Glocktrain. But since he dropped back it was quite boring until SC. After that the race was good, but nothing overdramatic. I give it 7.

Hulkenberg's been given a 20 second penalty too and Force India have, as a result, withdrawn their appeal

Bit harsh, I think. Usually they don't penalise for excursions at turn 1

So its Massa 8th, Sutil 9th, Hulk 10th?

Does seem harsh, Alonso completely cut T1 in 2008 but wasn't penalised.

It had boring moments, but also fantastic ones. I think I'm going to give this a good 7

Hard one. Kubica just because he was brilliant at the end.

That was an entertaining race judging by the highlights.

I don't know why it has become a trend to investigate and blame this or that driver for any single race incident. Today we had tons of them, all the type of outside driver turning in, bang. It has been a classic for decades and really any controversy should stop at the moment the drivers collide.

Fact is that normal, gentlemen passes where a driver is beaten before the corner and backs up are very rare, and most of all, BORING. Anything else will often result in contacts.

The only incidents that deserve further investigation/action are either blatant voluntary bumping, or dangerous high-speed lunacy as in Turkey, or Hungary.

Rubens is only 7 points behind Schumacher in the standings now. How great would it be for Rubens to finish ahead of him

Another thing I just thought of - Hamilton retired pretty soon after the contact and the car didn't look that damaged. Was it broken rear suspension?

Wow what a hell of a race today at Singapore! One of the most entertaining races of the season yet.

Loved the battle between Alonso and Vettel all race long. Those two were flawless today and great to see Fernando take such a hard fought victory.

Enjoyed the run upto 3rd from the midfield by Webber today. He drove another solid race, and definitely looks determined to win this championship. I love that he didn't back down from Hamilton's attack. And rightly so. It was another poorly executed passing attempt by Hamilton, just like Monza, and serves him right for earning another DNF. And for the spectator, makes the championship table even more juicy. Beautiful, just beautiful!

Going to be an awesome final four races! Roll on Suzuka!

Answered my own question

Its only effectively 9 pre-2010 points with 40 available. Hardly call it massive.
