Because Merc aren't cheating, they're just better.

I really doubt they aren't cheating, it doesn't cross my mind they are playing it fair, this is not even reasonable, is the greatest farce on earth

Ocon certainly figured out how to be a massive dick in Q1. He really ought to have been kicked to the back of the grid for that.

What was the initial reason to remove the gravel outside of Parabolica?

I would be pissed too like Kimi, blocking him big time. Left right moving. I know they werent racing but it really but really needs a big crash to happen because of that and then the stewards might see and open their eyes.
And car will fly trough the air...

Think it was half driver request and half concerns raised by World Superbikes who thought of going there but ended up not.

for God sakes let Ferrari cheat again
This!

Is it really cheating or just hardcore innovation in bending the rules?
Sure seems like other teams are playing fast and loose with the rules.

It's called playing in the grey area, that's how you win.

But I'm just finding it slightly odd JUST how far Ferrari's pace is off, like if we put the Merc engine in the Ferrari do you think that would make up 2 seconds? Something else seems off....

Nah, they didn't banned party mode, they banned the hability to change the mode from qual to race. So Mercedes may get even faster during race now.

Liberty: "How about sprint races on Saturdays in 2020?"

Most F1 teams: "Yes please!"

Mercedes: "Hell no"

Most F1 teams: "Ok to hell with you, we're gonna race on a Saturday anyway"

No party mode for Mercedes and still a comfortable pole means their advantage must be all aero. Or suspension trickery.

They're going to be even stronger in the race now with party mode out.

Looks to be rain later in the afternoon, thunderstorms by 8pm. Of course it will be too late for the race.

*sigh* can we ban that word from these threads until it actually looks likely?

Looking at you too, crofty.

The jinx must strike even if it means being something remotely positive. Since the jinx usually only applies to a situation in favor of something felt being "wrong", "unfair" or "Mercedes AMG F1 and Hamilton winning F1 races".

they rediscovered Rain Kiler 3000 design by Max Mosley™ and they're using this summer in the field of safety liability

funny because when drivers like Max and Kevin block other drivers they don't give a shit for safety
