Which is precisely why it is redundant to discuss.

You'd predict viewing figures to be high this year because I think you have the most represented nations ever (well, since F1 has been shown widespread-ly). 24 drivers represent 16 different countries:

England - Hamilton, Button
Germany - Vettel, Schumacher, Sutil, Glock, Rosberg
Australia - Webber
Spain - Alonso, Alguersuari
Brazil - Massa, Barrichello
Poland - Kubica
Russia - Petrov
Venezuela - Maldonado
Scotland - di Resta
Japan - Kobayashi
Mexico - Perez
Switzerland - Buemi
Italy - Trulli
Finland - Kovalainen
India - Karthikeyan
Belgium - d'Ambrosio

So I'd fully expect figures to rise. And the fact there's an extra race.

You can be sure there will be more Belgian interest now.

Also, only 1 Italian, who will probably be in his last year? Time to panic there.

I think he will not be the only Italian.
One seat at HRt is opet,i could bet that a option is Davide Valsechi.

Valsecchi's already signed for Team Air Asia in GP2 and thus will be a Lotus reserve

The only chances HRT have got of signing an Italian are either if Force India pay for Liuzzi to have it, or some obscure Italian pay driver gives them a few million

The problem I have with these silly rules is the inevitable bitching and complaining and controversy race after race due to someone claiming someone else did something either against the rules or "not in the spirit of the sport". They seem to be stoking that fire with these endless arbitrary ideas.

The FIA are trying their hardest to prove that they're on the same level as NASCAR as far as bad ideas go.

The sports are completely different, but tbh, Im tilting towards oval racing now as far entertainment goes. (Top series racing.)
