They're so far apart now, who cares. Leave SuperGT alone. DTM can go have whatever brand of GT3 schlock they want. EDIT: Read the article... Opinion stands. GT3 is what they want. Run around the world in damn near everything. SuperGT wants to build cars to GTE/GT1 or whatever they deem to be above GT3 in performance. If manufacturers wanted that, GTE wouldn't have died. |

Super GT finale at Motegi starts in about 90 minutes. #3 Nissan on pole with #36 Toyota in 3rd. #16 Honda down in 9th and they need to win the race to have any chance in this three-way shootout. |

#3 Nissan spun out of the lead with 5 laps to go and Miyata/Tsuboi will take the title. They were running 2nd so would have taken the title even if the Nissan won the race. |

A very talented duo: Miyata is then double champion in Super Formula and Super GT this season. It doesn't happen often, though it has happened twice in recent years (Naoki Yamamoto in 2018 and 2020). |

Miyata is pretty much the best Japanese driving prospect right now and well, he's off to WEC full-time next. He's the fifth driver to win both Super Formula and Super GT 500 titles in the same season. Yamamoto did it twice like you've said and also Pedro de la Rosa (1997), Satoshi Motoyama (2003) and Richard Lyons (2004) did it before. |
