Absolutely stupid that they did away with the mandatory pit stop requirement with the red flag but still kept the success penalty time.

You're not allowed to be good in GT racing. The pathetically fragile egos of rich people must be appeased at all costs.

In races lasting one hour the top three finishers in each class from the previous round must respectively serve an additional 10, 7 and 5-second Pitstop Success Penalty during their mandatory pitstop. During races lasting two hours or longer the top three finishers in each class from the previous round must respectively serve an additional 20, 15 and 10-second Pitstop Success Penalty during their mandatory pitstop.

And "Silver" driver pairings have to serve a further penalty on top of that for having the audacity to possess talent.

I wondered if that's what happened, it was very quickly glossed over in the coverage. Fucking ridiculous that this is still happening at MSV tracks.

Idea for next @

MSVD
compilation - armco failing at MSV tracks.

So the red flag made it look stupider than it is... but it's still pretty damn stupid. There are more sophisticated ways of balancing the field if that's what you want to do.

Palmer baby. Can't maintain his older tracks but will add pointless hairpins and chicanes to Snetterton.

Only applies in GT4? Up to date link:

Quote:
Pitstop Success Penalties
None will be served in Race 1, the top-three from which must serve Race 2 penalties on the basis of:

10s – 1st Race 1
07s – 2nd Race 1
05s – 3rd Race 1

All GT4 Silver Cup entries must serve an additional 14s during their mandatory driver changes and carry 25kg of ballast.

Yep, silver pairings aren't allowed in GT3 anymore. Heaven forbid that you have two fast drivers.
