Got back from Brands this morning. A bit disappointing really, racing wise. The FPA was OK, but the F3 was TEEEEEEEdious. The DTM race started off well, but got a bit monotonous. The gap between Scheider and di Resta stayed pretty much consistent the whole time, however there was some good racing in the pack. Didn't watch the Polos, and the trucks were pretty good. The amount of Hamilton fanboys was ridiculous! I can't believe some people went JUST to watch Hamilton do a few laps. The grandstand was full at Hailwood when he came on, but it was all in good fun.

I was the guy walking around with the big England flag if anyone saw me.

Approval withdrawn: DTM demonstration in Paris cancelled

The demonstration with DTM cars in the city centre of Paris, which was scheduled to take place on Friday, September 26th, had to be cancelled at short notice. Although all the necessary approvals were already received, the municipal government of Paris now decided not to give permission for the planned event.

FAIL! AGAIN! They had a street race in Avignon already secured, but the town council found a law from last century that forbids racing - so no race in Avignon! France must hate DTM...!

This. They plan the schedule so that they don't coincide with F1.

Christijan Albers is said to be going to the ABT Sportsline DTM team factory this weekend as a guest. I found it on his website, and i did a rough tranlastion because it was only in dutch and not in english. I hope he can get into a better car for 2009! :)

DTM should stay in germany mostly and not all over the world! then its not the "GERMAN" series anymore..

rename them into World Touringcar Masters and go everywhere else..

There was a rumour going round that the DTM are going to take IndyCar's slot at Surfers next year. I think it was in one of the Australian papers

Read that rumor, too! But that is just MAD, MAD, MAD! WHY do they always try to desperatly outperform themselves! Remember what happened in Shanghai...?!

Agree, it's not like Germany lacks the locations. What about the Sachsenring? Zolder and Spa are also not far away from the border. Additionally a street race in Hamburg or Berlin would boost DTM immensely.

But seeing DTM is handled at the moment, we can expect a few more cock-ups!

Norisring?

The ITC was a great idea. It's just a shame it got shat on because it became too much of a threat to F1

Ah of course, I mean an other street circuit then.

ITC is not the only one, the old WTCC is the same as well.

They shouldn't go back to Singen, that track was such a joke

The track was so narrow that (from what I remember) 2 cars barely fitted next to eachother
