I'm looking forward to this. Come on PdR. It will be sad to be saying goodbye to Bernd Schneider after the race.

It's mind-boggling how many people still turn up for DTM despite the poor quality racing.

I'm looking forward to this one! Hockenheim's a great track, I've been there to races for several times, and seeing how incredibly close the championship is - awesome! Just let's hope everyone will be fair and no team orders will be applied...

It is about salvaging German pride as Michael Schumacher is retired now.

We should expect a small increase of German interest in their respective Grand Prixs in the near future after the success of Sebastien Vettel this season.

DTM is a great event to watch, prices are very good comparable to F1.

DTM end of season fireworks and donuts are the best of any series. Hopefully the racing will be as good...

Exactly, maybe the racing of DTM itself isnt the best, but the organizers surely know how to make a good show. And the entry is really cheap in compare to F1. Only about 25€ for sunday silver tickets.

That's true. You can also go pretty much everywhere with an additional paddock ticket (20€).

F1's way too expensive these days (Gold Ticket 450€ Image, DTM Goldticket costs 50€ fyi) and those empty grandstands during the F1 race serves them right.

Absolutely, but Bernie only charges because some people are willing to pay it, and with more businessman types with bags of money coming along and paying £50 for an F1 pen, then why not charge too much?

It's a farce, though. I can't see how Bernie can expect races to bring people in through the gates if they're charging so much. A BTCC raceday ticket costs a fraction of what an F1 race and you get so much more value for money - you're closer to the action, you get more racing, you get better racing etc. Same for the DTM (apart from the better racing Image)

I guess British attendances will experience a similar drop off in 15 or so years when Hamilton retires....

You'd have to pay me to go see the DTM though, at least in its current state. I'd probably only ever want to see Norisring in person, the rest is just a 1 hour demonstration of some nice cars rotating around a track, finishing in the order they started.

As i worte I'm gonna go to Hockenheim and honestly, I really don't like DTM, too. But there are other reasons to go. I'm a big fan of F3, Nico and di Resta, thus there is the opportunity to meet then, though the chance is not that big but it's there. And getting DTM additionally to F3, why not.
