The best part of that is how Longhurst is completely unbelted, door open, and he's climbing out of the car AS SOON as it comes to a stop.

Chaz Mostert is the latest to join the 12 Hour, partnered with everyone's favorite driver Paul Morris:

Earl Bamber, Kevin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor will be teaming up in a Porsche 911 GT3-R, that's showing some serious commitment from Porsche to have an all factory driver lineup

So, practice has started, is the streaming going to be the same as last year with all the support races etc?

The second factory Nissan crashed badly earlier on.

Speedcafe wrote:
The #24 factory Nissan GT-R has been ruled out of Practice 4 after sustaining significant damage following a heavy crash at the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.
Florian Strauss lost control of the #24 before clouting the wall at the Metal great which has left his crew with heavy repairs that will go into the night.
Strauss, who is sharing the car with Todd Kelly and Jann Mardenborough, was able to nurse the car back to the pits but early indictions are the GT-R has sustained suspected chassis damage.
Nissan team chief Bob Neville remains hopeful repairs can be completed overnight.
“We do know that it has damaged the front radiator, intercoolers and left-hand suspension,” Neville told Speedcafe.com.
“We are going to check the chassis and there is a bit of damage beyond the pick-up points.
“It is quite a lot of work and we sincerely hope its fixable.
“We think we have enough spares and we are checking and double checking now.
“As you know there are so many parts on these cars and something silly can mess you around.
“We are very optimistic we have the parts though.”
Meanwhile, the sister #23 car of Katsumasa Chiyo, Alex Buncombe and Michael Caruso, is making steady progress after finishing fourth fastest in Practice 3.

For anybody who has Facebook and is interested in this race, you should consider checking out V8 Sleuth (Aaron Noonan), he's posted a few extended videos of practice today with some commentary. He is generally a good person to follow for Australian motorsport anyway, being one of the major media figures of it. His historical knowledge is second to none as well.

According to the schedule the stream will either start in 15 mins after post time for the Sedans or 1 hour after post time for Practice 5, it's not really clear if they'll show anything BEFORE Practice 5

Big smash at the cutting, looked like a BMW locked its rears and t-boned another older spec BMW into the sand trap on the outside of the corner.

That means this race was majority SC, but a good warm up for the days action all the same :)

Huge crash within 5 mins of first 12 hours practice opening for an Aston Martin

Couldn't see a thing on the replay they showed, but Hindy commentated on it as if he could?

REWINDABLE STREAM :)

Looking back on it, it's JUST at the bottom of frame as the camera operator focuses on the top of the brow

Looked like a huge impact.
