If you want to cheat this way you deserve to be DQ and receive a race ban. Idiots. Adding more shame on DTM then it already is from itself...

They DQ him because someone, who wasn't a member of the team poured some water on the driver's legs. That means by that logic, the driver who finished 2nd could spit the winner in the face and thus making him excluded. Or a bird could show up and shit on them and exclude them both. Sweet.

Yesterday was the first time since 2008 I saw a whole DTM race. The race was fantastic. But the whole shit after it was a joke.

I wondered whether the person who poured the water in Ekstrom's pockets was actually from Mercedes.

I get the logic and purpose of the rule, but the execution this time round seems incredibly dumb. What does 500ml of water weigh anyhow?
