Post subject:  Trans Am Series | Daytona (November 8-10)

Tony Ave on pole in the TA1 class for tomorrow's race at Daytona. Tony Buffamonte on provisional pole for TA2.

This weekend's race is slated for LIVE coverage on Motor Trend On Demand, however it doesn't show on their streaming schedule presently. CBS Sports Network is slated to broadcast the race on delay next month as well.

Season review aired on CBS Sports Network last Saturday, and is slated to re-air next weekend.

Miedecke Motorsport will be testing at Queensland Raceway tomorrow, and will have spectator gates open to the public.

TA4 has been renamed to GT, and TA3 (Porsche Carrera Cup cars) has been renamed to SGT. GT will now include FIA GT4 cars along with the current line of production based vehicles.

Season opener for Trans-Am is this weekend at Sebring International Raceway. 61 cars in total are entered across the 4 classes with 18 in TA, 29 in TA2 & 14 between SGT / GT. No details are known for Trans-Am's broadcast plan for 2019.

TA1 race just finished up: Loshak, Drissi & Dyson had a pretty good battle for the TA1 win, Dyson broke with a lap or 2 to go which gave Burtin Racing the podium. Kleeman won in the SGT class after something happened to Pierce or his car within the last 5 laps of the race.

TA2 race at 2PM EST - no live coverage outside of Twitter live updates.

Trans-Am Series returns to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca this weekend for the first time since 2004. This race is the first combined event with the Trans-Am West Coast Championship for 2019 as well.

Notes on the last 2 West Coast races:

Greg Pickett got the season opening win for the Trans-Am West Coast Championship at Thunderhill in the TA class on April 14th. Brad McAllister (TA2) & Roger Eaton (GT) took the class wins in the multi-class race.

Nicholas Rosseno got the overall & TA2 win for the second round of Trans-Am West Coast at Fontana last weekend. Simon Gregg was the top TA1 car in the multi-class race
