#37 Toyota (Sasahara/Alesi) in the garage with some mechanical issues early at Motegi and basically ends their championship hopes now.

#61 Subaru with another brakes failure but only spins into T1 gravel this time.

Tsuboi & Yamashita win by over 20 secs despite being the heaviest car in the field. TOM's Toyota cars have won 4 of 7 races this season.

#36 TOM's Toyota won the postponed finale in Suzuka. Sho Tsuboi becomes the 6th driver to win Super Formula & Super GT title in the same season.

#88 Lamborghini won the GT300 class and snatched the title from #65 Mercedes. Though #88 won 4 from 8 races so this one is more than deserved.

That was a slog to watch with Tom Gaymor on commentary. Nothing bad to say about the race though, enjoyable as always.

Kakunoshin Ohta won't race in Super GT next season due to the part-time IMSA deal he signed with Shank.
