i'm just curious since i don't follow this series:
according to you how come no good Japanese driver has ever emerged from that country?
- they have great circuits where to learn how to race
- they have a great motoristic tradition
- they have at least six big motor companies worldwide succesful
- they have top class enginers and know how
- they have proper formula series like this one
- they're a rich and popolous country
- they had many good motorbikes pilots
how come not a single top class driver has ever emerged from this country? it is a mistery to me.
What I always heard is that some Japanese drivers, had some trouble communicating with foreign engineers and mechanics, due to difficulties with the english language, but I really never knew how much of that is true and how much is just speculation, as we have drivers like Sato who are outside Japan for a long time and we have several foreign drivers who join the Japanese series and succeed there!
By the way, Andre Lotterer the fastest driver on the Super Formula grid, just set the series unnoficial record at Suzuka during the pre season tests this week, with an incredible lap at 1:35.1! The pre season tests are set to continue at the end of the month, this time at Fuji. As soon as the pre season tests are over, I'll be posting the new 2017 season thread with all the information regarding teams, drivers and all news ahead the following season!
