This race is going to be 90% SC

No Race Director no, that's so not right!

That was some epic directing...

Team mates running side by side, lets cut away to a random part of the track so we can hide the part where they crash...

If only I had some sort of regular phrase to cover this... :whistling:

You see, the start finish line here at talladega is more towards the back straight, not in the tri-oval like you would expect

Took me by surprise at least

There was actually a flip in race 3 at the new Masa kink (turn 6) but not only did the TV direction miss it, the car landed behind a pole so the camera operator couldn't even really get a good shot of the wreck either.

Plus race 2 was delayed by over 45 mins because the stewards couldn't get the cars into qualifying order after they came out from parc ferme

And if that wasn't bad enough, then this:

One more race tomorrow it seems, lets see how bad it can get

Seriously we've had 2 flips in 2 rounds here and they've been missed both times

Fuck this series and its terrible camerawork, they're actually decent races, just impossible to watch

In the first race today the timing tower was still in qualifying mode instead of showing the race positions, just amatuer stuff...

Camera work in Dubai was as crap as in Abu Dhabi, although when the Camera-Men actually caught some of the racing it was pretty good. Race-Direction obviously didn't like it that much, as in the last race every single driver, apart from leader Alex Dunne got a five second penalty for red-flag-rule infringments. Don't know if something like that has ever happened before...

The bits of it I saw showed some really good racing and quite by coincidence an accident or two happened in front of the cameras, but still a frustrating experience tbh

One of the crashes had a car appear in frame on its side for about 1 second before they cut away and quickly cut back to 3 cars spun around, it's like they're trying to censor accidents lol
Some of the camera guys can't even keep a car they're following in frame, I sense the problem is because they're not hearing the director on headphones and all trying to follow the lead car or whatever they think is important on their own without an overall unified "bigger picture" to follow to make sense to the viewer at home

Oh well, it's Februrary, better laughing/getting mad at this than no racing at all
