In Gt's. And that was a massive one,

Really sad news. Not a good way to end the motorsport year

Really sad news. Wasn't there a huge wreck at that kink last year? I don't see why they couldn't install safer barriers at some of the faster sections.

It was pretty much the same crash, only here the driver hit the wall head-on instead of a side impact.

Yau's wreck was about as nasty a hit as you can have. Appeared that he hit a concrete barrier and not armco.

SAFER barrier yes, butcher the track no. Macau is a very, very fast street circuit. It should not be neutered. Tracks such as this remind us that racing is indeed dangerous. I'm not promoting death or injury by any means, but at places like this the drivers and riders all know the risks and choose to compete. They could just as easily choose to stay home.

Condolences to both racers families.

It looked like a rather light impact, compared to what we've seen in the past.

Light impact my ass, that was brutal.

I normally don't agree with you but this is spot on.

Don't wish to detract from the sad news but any vids from WTCC qualifying?

Tried to record it this morning but my V+ box failed.

Both F3 races as well as the motorcycle race will be broadcast live on the Czech channel Sport5.

That's nice! Are you going to capture some footage from the race? There's a Live Stream for that channel? I miss the days we had RTPi here in Brazil, a portuguese channel that used to show everything from Macau.

I've been looking all over the internet for any info as regards the coverage and as far as I'm aware only 3 channels will show F3 live in Europe - Viasat Motor (both races), Sport5 (both) and Spanish Esport (main race). Sadly, I don't have access to any of these channels, nevertheless I'm posting this info in the hope that someone will have better skills and/or luck with finding a stream for these races, so that we can all see them. Can't believe how crap the coverage is this year considering the popularity of this race and the fact that TV schedules are not exactly filled with live action at that time of the day...

Thanks for the information! Its unbeliveable how bad the coverage is and even in the places I usually find a Stream, there's absolutelly nothing, only for WTCC race. The F3 race is so traditional, also the motorcycle race, the coverage should be a lot better, here in Brazil for an example, we have 2 drivers in the F3 race and yet nothing about it was even commented in our sports channel, this is really bad.

We had a stream last year, I'm sure someone could find it again.

Streams from last year.

Don't know if they'll show though.

Yeah, seems like all we can hope for is some Asian streams. Those justin streams were probably showing TVB Jade (a Hongkong channel), which is airing some of the action this year too.

There's also Guangdong TV, here's the list of their channels, all streamed online - http://v.gdtv.cn/option/com_content/ItemId/36/ I believe the Sports channel is the one that is farthest to the right. The streams seem to be a bit laggy, though, but maybe it's just my connection.

Another alternative is Star Sports, which should be the easiest one to find the stream of, although it'll be showing the Sunday races only.

How late CET will a race start?

Ok, checked the schedule of the Guangdong Sports channel and indeed they have the main F3 race live on Sunday but it appears to be on another sports channel, which is not the one they stream on their site...

Which one? F3 Qualifying Race starts at 7am CET (less than 6 hrs) but the first race of the weekend begins right now at 1:20, live on TDM (Teledifusao de Macau)...
