That would turn the cars upside down.

Give them extra boost for Indy. Right now it's like watching Arie Luyendyk doing 215mph lap times with his 1996 racecar, looks way too stable and easy.

Marco said yesterday, that the car gets very tight in dirty air.

It's not the wings, if anything they produce lift here.

The main downforce is coming from the car itself.

Michel Jourdain stopped on his way into the pits. Might just ran out ouf fuel.

First yellow of the day. Jourdain probably ran out of fuel and stopped just before the pit entrance.

Great news for overtaking!

Seriously....this car..... :(

As for its looks, front on with the low nose, I like.

Its when it gets side on and rear on with those sidepods it becomes a disaster area.

3 days, a couple of thousand laps and no crash, not even a brushing of a wall...
Can we have just a small bit more action please?

I'm turning bit nostalgic. I used to hook up with Rustyfan online coming into the month of May, watching the practices and getting a sneak preview of his Crashin' series.

Good times :flag:

Would be interested to see what kind of damage the new car gets at a high speed oval compated to the old car.

Shut up Paul, and return my call you punk! Otherwise we won't have anywhere to watch this damn race except our bedrooms!

Lotus is such a joke and it's sad that Simona is being part of that team :(

The speeds are still pretty slow. I hope that the cars might become more twitchy when they get the extra boost and trim things out a little bit. I really hope Marco is over exaggerating the tightness of the car in traffic, or else the oval racing could be NASCAR 2012 levels of boredom. :(

Also, is it wrong of me that I kind of want to see a crash? Just out of interest to see how the car breaks apart, will it stay on the ground... etc. No injuries of course.

I believe they can hit 226 - 228 mph laps in Qualifying with extra boost. Are they having that extra in the race too? Otherwise it might be as you said, boring.

It's not wrong to hope someone having a "safe" crash before the race. So far we really have not seen a high speed crash for the new car, so there might be a design flaw hiding in it, like in 2007 ChampCar. I think that having a crash in race might become a multi-car crash too easily. That's something I don't want to see.
