LAME

Might want to up the boost then.

Fantastic news, btw, about Barnhart getting sacked. Sanity is making a comeback.

Thank You Randy.

Now, Indycar drivers can make racing without fear of stupid penalities.

Was reading the article about it on SPEED this morning, evidently the turbo never really kicks in until full throttle.

Turbo engines were alway going to be rev happy, but extra boost won't compensate for the lack of down low grunt. .....especially when they have to make sure the engines stay in one piece for more than 3 hours at the time. Like said in the article it needs the 900-to 1000 turbo horsepower to make the car a handfull to drive.

....man I hate missing C.a.....oh nevermind

edit: Cheers for Barnhart getting fired, maybe we can get some racing going on now.

Where did you see this?

@ 0:15 reminds me of an onboard shot of one of the 70's or 80's F1 cars

What's weird is that I oddly predicted this in either the Baltimore or New Hampshire race threads, that they'd back him during the season and quietly shuffle him around off-season to save the face of everyone involved.

Though he remains on the INDYCAR payroll...why exactly? If you can't find a job for him, get rid of him, just because he's a friend of the speedway doesn't mean he deserves a salary for life

And on the car front, disappointing but did we really expect anything different?
*sigh* same old shit, slightly newer car.

He's still on the payroll because he's pretty much demoted to another job.

What Indycar needed in the first place was a big engine + a turbo boost. I don't think the V8's in CART had much of an issue with low torque.

Figured that was coming after they never got around to signing up for a manufacturer.

Nothing new really in today's motorsport, sadly. Forsythe, Highcroft etc...
