I think tyres made big part of that.

Monaco qualifying top 10:
van der Garde
Bird
Bianchi (has 5-place penalty for Barcelona crash)
Valsecchi
Parente
Coletti
Kral
Chilton
Gutierrez
Cecotto

Grosjean failed to set a good lap and then he collided with his team-mate Varhaug and ended up last, over 107%. But I think they allow him to start. A lot of other incidents by a virtue of live timing commentary:
Grosjean/Fauzy, Filippi, Coletti/Leimer, Clos/Bird, Ericsson/Bird, Herck.

Cecotto, Clos, Varhaug and Grosjean at least under investigation.

I have just watched the session.... "Oh my god" is all I can say about this GP2 Qualifying. 8O

Flying cars, Revenge, intentional wrecking!! Holy moly. The whole field is going to be penalised for sure. If Grosjean is excluded for the weekend, I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Will Buxton on twitter...
It's a frustrating place to qualify. But you can't let those frustrations boil over. It's just too bloody dangerous. I'm talking, of course, about GP2 qualifying. Disgraceful driving by some people who should know better.
Coletti, Clos and Ericcson all deserve penalties. I wouldn't even let Grosjean, who DNQ'd anyway, start the race. I'm going to go and get some fresh air. Still absolutely FUMING after GP2. Such a great championship, belittled by some thoughtless driving.

That was a hell of the session... Seriously WOW at the GP2 field especially Grosjean who crashed into the other drivers on PURPOSE (we wasn't the only ones though) but his driving was just stupid.
