The worst in IndyCar is..... Duno.

Even Sato, is actually not that bad, so long as you fitted a Big rubber bouncy ball like substance to the right hand side of the car to limit the damage when he crashes every 5 laps....

And people like Alex Lloyd. would they even get a look in in Formula One despite their obvious raw talent?

Well not really. In fact, theres a handful of pay drivers that attempted in F1 that also had their money snatched up by AOWR too.

And oh yeah I forgot Ide.

I think this belongs here since he was trying to get into Indy Lights, but Shane Hmiel broke his neck in two places after a crash in a silver crown car at Terre Haute.

My mistake Gaara. I wasn't sure it'd be discussed there since he was banned from NASCAR.

Marques was not super awful in CART. Kiesa won a race (kind of) in F3000. Yoong won A1GP races.

Jean-Pierre Frey didn't even qualify for a single race in two seasons of F3000. Randy Lewis had a habit of wrecking leaders. Marty Roth had no sense of direction. Milka Duno deserves no presentation.

i just hate how all these drivers get sponsorship when they have no driving talent while some with talent are struggling to get funds. example the woman situation in the irl currently. danica and duno suck (duno more obviously) while fisher and de silvestro's teams are running on a shoe string budget

Oh BTW. Does anyone happen to know if an electronic (Ripped) version of the rule book exists? I kept on forgetting to log into IndyCar Nation, and finished 400 points shy of the 8,500 to get a copy of it...

Didn't realise you could earn points by simply logging in to watch stuff. Whoops.

In Yoong's defense, he was not ready for F1 and even said so himself, he was thrown in the deep end and was not up to the challenge, and the fact he was driving a car without power steering for most of 2002 didn't help either lol. Never would have been a race winner but he's still not a bad steerer.

Ide, well we can all agree with that xD

Yuji Ide finished 2nd and 3rd in the two preceeding years to his call up so he's not what I'd call terrible and shown no pedigree. Nippon is a lot weaker than it was in the 90's, so it's not exactly top notch, but look at Ide's career and I'd say solid. His F1 career was obviously a disaster, but I think there's an argument there that he had at least shown enough to get a chance.

Have to wonder about the safety of these replicas really.

Oh I was assuming it was one of those 2-seater experience jobbies.

Do they really allow someone off the street loose on an oval in a replica? Something doesn't sound right there.
