Great race, just watched the download (much better than searching for crappy streams) and the racing was close like the old days

Baguette is really getting on form on the ovals, he was very fast like at Indy passing lots of people but once again gets bad luck. He just needs a race with no incidents and he will finish in the top 10 easily.

I just wonder whether that is the situation in this crash and moreso the Czech crash.

Well, no. The Lambo crash was just pure incompetence. Nobody knew what they were actually doing. They attempted to tackle the blaze but didn't even have the basic training required to do it. You spray the base of the fire. Spraying the top of the flames doesn't achieve anything. And there was one guy in the Lambo accident who was 10-15 meters away on the pit wall, attempting to spray all the way to go the car. They clearly didn't know what to do.

With de Silverstros crash, again it wasn't that they didn't make an attempt, it was the attempt they were making was wrong. They struggled badly with the hose, and when they got it going they were on the wrong side of the car from the source of the flames.

There was apparently a malfunction with the one fire truck:

Quote:
The hose truck had a malfunction, and another safety official with a fire extinguisher took too long to start spraying the blaze. Meanwhile, de Silvestro was stuck in the seat. Another safety official finally got her out, but she suffered burns on her right hand.

Not found downloadable versions of Texas crashes, Simona's crash included. Where are posted those crashes?

TK wasn't happy with Danica post race & its understandable.

She drove a great race tonight but if she knew TK was there and moved to block like it looked then she needs to be pulled before IRL officials and told that sort of thing is unacceptable.

Slowly moving to defend your line as others were doing all night is fine but quickly jinking to block like that shoudn't be tolerated, especially on an oval like Texas.

I guess Graham was right.

I'm not DP's biggest fan, but that was the race of her life.

texas is always a good race, if it was indianapolis the fire would have been estinguished quickly.
franchitti always good on the front because his car has low downforce than when he's in the pack the car pushes too much, that's it, he needs to use a more race setup, or the team should give him 1 1/2 turn on the front in the pit

Have you seen Lindy Thackston, you know the pit reporter for Versus, at Texas motor speedway before the race? She looked beatifull with that yellow dress, veeery nice...

How lucky have been Castroneves and Moraes not to get hit by Baguette into the sidepods? The side of the car latly has been reinforced with kevlar pannels but sure it's better not to trust too much in that...
