Anyone else thinking FIA has switched their attentions to F2 and are going to send GP2 the way of F3000?

Bernie hasn't got Max to protect his series any more...

What is Daniel Ricciardo doing in 2010? I would have thought he'd be slotted into an Arden GP2 seat.

I can see them doing the same with Ricciardo as with Jamie Alg...suari. Place him in WSR and if Algy doesn't perform for Toro Rosso then hes next inline.

Pic to contest full season with Arden

Charles PicCharles Pic has completed a deal to stay with Arden for the rest of the GP2 Asia season and the full 2010 championship.

The 19-year-old French driver has already contested the opening GP2 Asia event in Abu Dhabi with the team.

"Having tested with the team at Jerez last year and raced at the final Abu Dhabi GP2 Asia round, Charles stood out among the various drivers that we have tested," said Arden's head of race engineering Richard Dent.

"With a lot of rookies entering GP2 for 2010 we believe that Charles has the ability to be a frontrunner in his debut season."

Pic has spent the last two years in Formula Renault 3.5, and finished third in last year's championship.

"I am very happy to be joining the Arden team who have a proven track record in GP2," he said.

"Racing in the final three GP2 Asia races gives me the opportunity to work closely with the team and prepare fully for the European season. It's going to be a busy year and I can't wait to get started."

I don't think that Clos is signed with RE, he tested with Arden in october I've heard d'Ambrosio might go to RE

I went by Wikipedia on Clos, but they are wrong, I just checked their source there and it links to an old article saying Clos was signed for... 2009.

I'm glad Ocean has signed up Leimer, who I'm expecting big things of. Chilton I don't rate much. More news: - The calendar has been revealed, they will race at Abu Dhabi as the season's finale, and Portimão will be the only standalone round without F1, in June. There will be two pre-season tests at Paul Ricard (23/24/25 March) and Barcelona (7/8/9 April). - A new car won't be introduced for 2011 as previously planned, due to costs. Instead there will do some evolutions on the car: a new aero package based on F1, new mechanical evolutions, and a new gearbox that will force some changes in the back of the car. Calender is pretty much the same as in 2009, which is A-OK. Good to see they kept Portimao. But I would really really like to see GP2 racing at Montreal. I hope that this will happen one day.

Yep. I can definitely see Ricciardo getting his F1 debut mid-season this year. But it will depend on his performance vs the WSR field and vs Hartley - I expect the aussie to do very well, but you never know...

There are reports (on Crash.net admittedly) suggesting Bruno Senna may switch across to STR from Campos.
