Great move Rosenquivst right around the outside after the wellington straight!

Now...RAIN?

P.S Marriott is an awful commentator, can't stand him, interrupting and irrelevant :yuk:

Rosenquivst tried it again for the lead, he's a brave one.

Didn't quite come off this time but hopefully he'll try again soon...

YES! Same place, round the outside, 2 wheels on the grass...

One of the overtakes of the year imo.

Of course the commentators here couldn't give a shit, giving the comatose Portuguese guy a run for his money....

He's been around since the early days of Eurosport. The first F1 broadcast by them was Phoenix 1990 I believe and yes he's pretty annoying.

Yeah, I've not heard from him in a while because the two main avenues for being subjected to him were the Sky Motorsport stuff from his own production company (which Sky dropped a few years ago) and the DTM, which he has an obsession with it seems, but since Motors TV dropped it I couldn't give a shit about.....for obvious reasons of boredom :p

What are you talking about? Marriott is a great commentator, very knowledgable and has a good style.

Not every commentator has to foam at the mouth and scream at every bit of excitement.

Marriott has been the same way for decades, when doing canned commentary as well as live. He is much better than a lot of commentators we have today.

Aw hell yeah, Rosenqvist finally delivers! Hope he doesn't fizzle out as soon as he gets into GP2, like Ericsson.

Now I know you're trolling...

He kept interrupting Johnny Palmer (who was commentating on an overtake live) to say stuff like "He's an English driver, son of Stig though, you wouldn't think he was English with a name like that..."

Grrrr...great knowledge but not during live action.

He kept butting in like that for most of the race it was just amateur hour. And any time he could reference the DTM he waffled on about it irrelevantly as if he's the only person still in love with the damn series...

Since Sky stopped doing their Motorsport shows (from his production company, natch) and Motors TV stopped showing DTM I'd not heard him in a while.
I agree he never used to be this bad, maybe he's just out of practice or past it now, he was horrible today.

Trolling? That's offensive. Anyone who interrupts Palmer is a good man in my books, regardless of the situation. Marriott is a decent commentator. End of.

Not that one Kals....Johnny Palmer has an unfortunate name but he isn't ruining the lower rungs of the single seater ladder with another vanity project, he's just a commentator on the way up of the broadcasting world :p

Not end of, you're opinion.

He's seriously past it.

Let's not get nasty. An opinion is you suggesting I'm trolling. Being factual is knowing Palmer is an awful commentator (in addition trying to destroy the junior formulae ladder system). As was when he was in the booth with Murray, and is know.

Marriott is a decent commentator that has an aggrivated style of delivery. Past it? Hardly.

Might I remind you that you also were of the opinion that BTCC's new commentator wasn't any good, not to your liking. And you were of in the minority there.
