No, it was on screen. Maybe your TV has too much overscan? I thought the coverage was pretty good, no commercials and no newsflashes in between like they did with F1 free practice. The ticker is annoying but I choose this over no coverage or coverage on a pay tv channel.

The lap counter was outside the safezone for TV graphics, and that's what you should not do as it is not ideal for a normal television.
