Maybe if Comcast (they own Versus) could actually make it part of every basic cable/satellite package...maybe we would see ratings that rival the NASCAR Busch Series on ESPN?*

*Yeah, I know, I'm stretching it.

Comcast made Versus part of their own basic cable lineup... they can't really affect where the channel is in other companies lineups, beyond not asking for exorbitant fees. and to ask them to do that is to ask them not to be the evil corporation bent on monopoly that they are.

/sooo switching to AT&T U-Verse next May

isn't there already an argument between Honda and VAG on whether to run an inline-4 or V6 in the new Indy formula? do we really need to toss in a manufacturer with no interest in racing something not powered by a boxer?

Yeah, sure. Let's be realistic, son.

I'd love for them to use a V6. But I can't help but think, if they did use the Inline-4, wasn't the Offy engine an Inline-4?

It sure was. Which is why it would be cool if IndyCar went for that format. The number of cylinders doesn't matter for Indycars.

I'm happy for him. Any news if he will race the #14 at Homestead, or it will be RHR who does?

Silly argument. Allow all of the three! With similar displacement but variable boost levels on each engine types. First series that will open up it's engine development rules will get a huge boost from manufacturers. And even better if the engines would have size and fuel similar to their road cars. At the moment all the major racing series in the world have strict engine rules with only one possible option. For example, which manufacturer in F1 makes 2,4 litre V8 for their road cars? It doesn't make sense.

So I hope that IRL would be the first to do this, they basicly have nothing to lose...

But they will not do it, I'm afraid...they're indycar series you know...

RHR is going to drive it. Meira's saving his back for next year, saying they had nothing to gain.
