Well, today it was raining in Indianapolis and only 3 drivers were able to set laptimes on the rookie session. Nelson Philippe set a speed of 217.688 mph at his 15th lap of 18 in total.

Tomorrow is scheduled a rookie session from 9:30 to 10:30 ET with all drivers on track from 10:30 to 6 p.m.

The forecast indicates rain for tomorrow and probably friday too.

Why is Stanton Barrett even bothering? It appears that he is desperately slow and if there was more entries to the Indy 500 he would not even qualify, or is there something I'm missing?

I don't think he will qualify as it is now either.

What a damn shame that that's not of the car going thru a turn at Indy. :(

Best car, best engine configuration, best series.

Only missing the best race event. Failed.

Race event is back. Let's give it another shot the next several years.

Well in my opinon they really need to make changes to the series before it will become good. Get those Turbos back in as soon as possible, they really need to be setting over 230 mph laps at least at Indy. Open up to more the one chassis manufacturers so old and new makes can race so we don't have to see the same car over and over again, the more chassis makes the better. They also really need to get racing on better tracks and more tracks.

I know all of them is not going to happen as the main guy is an arrogant arsehole but still you'll have to wish for them.

Townsend Bell has been confirmed in the 3rd KVR Car. And Oriol Servia will be in the Rahal/Letterman car with backing from the DAFCA software company.

Jacques Lazier also says he's close to a ride, Buddy Rice & Thomas Sheckter are at Indy looking for rides.

Also incase nobody realised, the #17 Rahal car is painted as homage to Dan Gurney's Eagle's from the 60's:

Well, Stanton Barrett is struggling a little bit and Tomas was linked to a second car in 3G early this year. It's no impossible to see Barrett out already in Rookie Test. Who knows...

I say give Stanton's ride to Tomas. Tomas is a hell of a driver that deserves a seat a lot more than Stuntman does.

When I first saw Barrett in an IndyCar in Long Beach, I was thinking "what the fuck is he doing in here?"

Clearly slow (he was running dead....fucking.....last). Tomas should at least get that ride.

Scheckter apparently has backing from Rockstar Energy Drink.

Stanton Barrett/Team 3G have apparently lost there primary sponsor.

If Scheckter does have that backing then he should be able to take over that seat easily if they have lost their backing.

Hunter-Reay just hit the wall exiting turn 2. Just lost the back end & spun into the wall with the left side, didn't hit it too hard but did some suspension damage. Car also got off the ground.

I capped the replay & I'll post it later on.

Current Top 5:
Dixon, Danica, Doornbos, Briscoe, Helio.
