Anyone knows what channels will show GP2 in France and UK (confirmed on Setanta?) ? Because Eurosport France won't show GP2 this year and Setanta is too expensive. :(

Luckily Premiere still has the exclusive GP2 rights for Germany, as well as Porsche Supercup and Formula BMW Europe 8)
All Races Live...one of the few series Premiere actually broadcasts beside F1, now that NASCAR, F3 and other DTM Supports are gone...

Setanta have now confirmed they have the rights to GP2 this year

Race 1 will be Delayed on Setanta Sports 2 at 7:30pm next Saturday, Race 2 will be Live on Setanta Sports 1 at 9:25am next Sunday.

Doesn't look like it will be on a FTA channel in the UK this year so I won't be able to watch it, or DTM which Setanta also grabbed the rights for off Motors.

For GP2 it's same coverage provided by Eurosport France:
Race 1 delayed
Race 2 live

Just watch DTM on ARD ;)
Maybe dutch channel RTL7 will increase their GP2 coverage, that's my only hope now for decent coverage (last year they showed 15 minute highlights I think)

Three cars needing to be filled still remaining.

James Jakes refused the proposal from DPR. By the way, David Price sold its stocks to Michael Herck's father Andre. The team also lost its main manager, Andy Miller. So, DPR goes to Barcelona without its creator, a manager, a second driver and even an official name. They will successfully replace BCN on the worst team of the grid this year.

And Trident? Davide Rigon, after the podium in the last race, seems likely to be running at one of the cars. I cannot guess who's gonna be the second driver.

Well as usual, crappy coverage by Eurosport France... Their highlights "delayed" coverages are just horrible. Bring back the 2005/06 season when they almost had all race lives with Jean-Luc Roy & Patrick Tambay in the commentary box sometime. That was awesome.

I'll have to watch Formula BMW Europe & GP2 on another channel.

I don't think it's the main problem, the main problem is the fact that they cannot put specific programm for french viewers in ES2 like in UK.
Imo Giro or the final of Gambardella's cup are more important than a GP2 race so...

I don't think that the field will be very impressive.

We will know this week-end if we will see a R-E vs Addax or another thing.

Imo Di Grassi will not win the championship he is not a winner in his head,he didn't win any championship in his racing career always:

Runner Up Brazilian Formula Renault Championship
Runner Up South American Formula 3 Championship
8th British Formula 3 Championship
3rd European Formula 3 Championship
Runner Up GP2 Series

He has only won macau gp with a lot of luck and an mercedes engine.

It's the same for Maldonado.

I followed the Brazilian F-Renault championiship in 2002 and Di Grassi was the best driver of that season, he lost the title for another GP2 driver, Sérgio Jimenez, due to some bad luck.

In 2003 and 2004, he took these years as learnship time. Still, he got to be competitive in both championship, although his British F3 outfit wasn't exactly the best.

In 2005, he ended the season just behind Hamilton and Sutil, both driving for superb ASM team. Not bad, at all.

He just need a "champion" label but he proved it's not necessary to tell us he's a quite good driver.

Ok he is a good driver but for the psychological side you need to have a "champion" label.
It's the same problem for Kovalainen,Buemi,Piquet Jr or Bruno Senna.

Imo it's very important for confidence.

The talent is a matter but the psychological matter is more important to make the difference between very good driver and Champion.

Villa and Filippi will get 3-place grid penalties for ignoring yellow flags in practice.

Grosjean on pole, di Grassi 2nd, Petrov 3rd, Hülkenberg 4th. Kobayashi only 22nd.

Positions from 1 to 24 within just over two seconds, two drivers far off: Teixeira 3,6 and Herck 4,3 seconds.
