They said that Helio hit 235mph in the speed trap at the end of the front straght.

Takes provisional pole away from AJ with a 227.975mph average.

The satellite feed i am watching is still broadcasting, but since they left there are no commentators and no onscreen graphics.

Wish i could stream it for you guys so you could at least see it :(

Update, indy website is showing it i think.

Pretty big time drop-off over his 4 laps though.

Lap 1: 229.422 MPH
Lap 2: 229.170 MPH
Lap 3: 228.526 MPH
Lap 4: 228.260 MPH
4 Lap: 228.844 MPH

Helio only managed to beat Will's last lap speed. He destroyed them.

EDIT: With a tow they would probably go 231-232 mph laps.

BTW what commentary team are we getting for the race on abc?

We back to Reid/Goodyear/Cheever or they using the NBC guys like they did at the end of 2012?

I heard it would be Bob Jenkins....a friend of mine had told me that, need confirmation. I wonder what's the problem ABC has with Paul Page as he never cameback. Now he's away from NHRA, why can't they hire the guy? Shame on you ABC!

Paul Page retired from commentating. He did NHRA mostly as a hobby.

Marco lost quite a lot speed between 1st and 2nd laps but currently heading for top 9 anyway.
