Yes I should let him have his moment. Bird isn't an average driver by any means nor is he as bad as some of his compatriots (hello Max) but he's probably of a similar standard to Mike Conway. Bird is nowhere near as good as Adam Carroll.

Yeah, pretty much the general feeling really. Pleased he got the win though :)

A Bird in the hand is better than two (Grosjean/Maldonado) in the bush.

Bird has driven well in every series he's raced in. He just seems to be missing that little something. Consistancy/keeping out of trouble perhaps.

His career reminds me a lot of Adam Carroll. Possibly good enough to be given a chance in F1, but always beaten there by less deserving pay drivers (Hi Max).

I thought his family did have money, remember his dad had a strop after he crashed a formula Renault at donington and threatened to take their money off to another series.

No wait, that doesn't sound right.

There's money and there's F1 money.

I'm not even sure Max has that - where are the A.On logos?

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Daddy pulled the boys sponsorship iirc. Told them to go it alone once he got them "there", plus Grahame's going to be a Grandad soon, that always changes their view of the kids.

Plus doesn't Chily still own half the team? I'm sure that'll go a long way to helping the decision makers.

Absolutely ridiculous that Kujala's been banned from this race. Stewards are on another planet.

Race 2 is about to begin.
Kujala's ban is something incomprehensible. :yuk: Fumanelli ahead of him had a moment in a a corner and lost speed and Kujala had nothing to do to avoid him.
This stewards had probably banned Zanardi in Lausitzring for causing a collision, jeez.

Not to mention that Fumanelli was only ahead of Kujala because of his jump start, which he had a pending penalty waiting. And Sainz Jr. got smaller penalty for forcing another driver off the track.

It looked like Kujala tapped Fumanelli first, the hit him again and then flew over him. Not surprised he was suspended.

GP2 was fantastic. I see no reason why GP3 should suck.

That was a very close call, and another sweet slo-mo replay.
