Hey guys I got some bad news from the track. There was a serious accident on the last lap on the Kemmel straight involving several cars. Two drivers were injured. One of them was the #75 which I think is Adam Fitzgerald. The other one which was completely broken in two was an orange MP Motorsport car I think. He is the most seriously injured. I fear the worst sadly. I am not totally sure who the driver is of that car so I wont speculate. If you guys have more news please let me know.

Reading that Fitzgerald may have a shoulder injury but Van't Hoff is said to have been taken to the medical centre unconscious.

That's bad. I guess the spun driver did get T-boned after all? They cut the image before we saw what happened.

WARNING: POSSIBLE FATAL CRASH
Spoiler:

Big T-bone but not to the point that the car got broken in half.

That is indeed the driver I thought was in the car. They tried to resuscitate him for about 20 minutes.

Glad to hear Fitzgerald is okay. It was a very chaotic scene with the rescue team sprinting to several cars.

To me it seems the 2nd car of Tim Tramnitz spun coming out of Eau Rouge. That made cars scatter and I think the #75 t boned the #17.

You are correct. I thought the rear was the front and vice versa. There was a big hole on the cockpit side though.

It looks like the car was hit exactly at the end of the sidepods, right where the driver sits.

Sadly, it's just very similar to what happened to Anthoine Hubert.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's possbile to reinforce that part of a single seater chassis in order to avoid this kind of outcome and then the human body has its limitations when it comes to whitstand certain forces such as deceleration.

So erm can I ask, the orange car that gets hit in the video, that’s not the lad that has died right? A bit after that impact a gearbox and rear wheel housing bounces along the track, I’m assuming that’s off the car of the lad that has died and that part of the accident is gaping in the mist, right?

Otherwise if it is the orange car, that seems extremely unlucky to die from that impact.

Oh wow yeah now I see it, was the car hit a second time or something?, looks like it was about to get hit just as the video finished.

I was wondering that myself. I didnt see the impact myself. Car was completely destroyed and they had difficulties loading it on the flatbed. Not much left of it. Maybe it was hit by the rear wheel housing. In the video it looks like someone hit it.
