I guess Tony George influence is getting back again. Trying to make it an all American series again. RTL7 doesn't show a sign of broadcasting it again.

No, just another set of piss-poor management. Indycar is just under most European's radar at the moment.

Probably the reason why Tony George want to be associated with them.

We get all the races live on sky here, infact I seem to recall a few that were ads free as well, but anyway if I become super duper rich I'll buy Indycar, give the cars low down force, 1000+hp have an awesome calendar and make sure the races are shown ad free, prime time in the US on a major network and that coverage is also live throughout the world free to air

So I just realized there's only 1 rookie in the field. Tristan Vautier. Not sure if that's good or bad...

Guess I'll have to rely on streams or youtube clips. *sigh*

Even Steve & Robin's "measured out by a tape measure under torch light" version for NR2k3 is more accurate than that shit.

Yeah it is, lol. And that looks like the rFactor engine. So there is bound to be a better copy available they could've licensed.

Also, they've raced there before. Onboard footage is available. Why the fuck are they using virtual stuff.

At least use iRacing, even if they have the outdated Dallara.

EDIT: And then realizing that St. Petersburg is not laser-scanned. Woops. Point stands: Immersion Media

Ah, but someone has created a version of the St. Petersburg track for rFactor 1. Probably saved Indycar some work. :p

I don't understand why use a mediocre sim lap instead of a live lap, like they've done before.

an embarrassment to motor racing, I thought 15 bikes in MotoGP was bad but 9 in Lights, cmon, just kill it

And only three are from the US. One of them is only slated to run round one as of now...

Something weird is going on with Lights. They announced a chasis tender but have now decided to put it off by 2 years apparently, to encourage longer term entrants to come into the series without having to worry about a new car coming in soon and wiping their budget.

Reading between the lines, I guess that means their pathetically low grid size can't afford a new car and no-one is interested in coming in either.

Can it and ask Bernie to run American GP2 at your events. I'm sure it'll make your skin crawl but hey, it's better than the embarrassment that is modern Indy (Pro) Lights!

And this is why I don't pay attention to the Indy Lights.

IndyLights - the lightest open-wheel grid of all times!

1997 British F3000 series was cancelled after one round because only three cars entered the series. 9 cars seems a lot in comparison. Plus it is only the first round and it is more than likely than more will join as the year goes on.
