At least they weren't driving the old car.

Concrete is apparently now being ground down at the bump.

FWIW, I'm marshaling this. I'm at turn 1 and for Indycar, Indy Lights, and ALMS, I'll be Mr. Blue Flag.

Awesome. Keep an eye out for any wayward safety trucks down there.

I didn't know until now that the route takes in Camden Yards.

Well, the grinding work wasn't as helpful as they were hoping, so a chicane is being implemented: http://www.indycar.com/News/2012/08-Aug ... -cure-bump

Hopefully they find a way to make it better than the one last year.

Stupid to remove the chicane. It was there for a reason!

And thus, they've taken the turn 1 overtaking spot away.

Oh well, they should have taken away the bumps earlier.

oh well this two point chicane looks better than the ridiculously stupid three point chicane from last year. it had to be done.

Someone's going to hit those tyre stacks at some point.

I remember Eddie Irvine saying that at Barcelona 1994 they had a temp chicane, and it changed every lap from it getting nudged. Every lap was a new chicane.

I can see that happening here. Except for Viso or Sato, who'll probably just wipe it out.

That Barcelona chicane was almost funny. I think it was John Watson being very critical of it on the old Eurosport coverage.

It's a massive shame to have the chicane put back in here, but I don't know what else they can do.

Just realised I'm out when this race is on and I can't record it as it's on the "red button".

Have all the cars pull into the pits at the end of the formation lap.

As much as the chicane will make overtaking harder they don't want another San Jose
