Maybe his clutch just went too quickly? There's no way he didn't see him.

Probably some of that, and he may have assumed the whole field went by and didn't look anymore.

Rain in 5 minutes. Great. Wonder if they just red flag it for precaution.

We had a couple incidents, but I'm amazed at the driving ability these drivers have on slicks.

uh-oh, rain coming. Let's see if this hold up

That's the race, doesn't appear to be a crane in that area.

Ok, sure you're lined up and the SC is going slow, but for fuck's sake all trucks on a racetrack should be mandated to have low crash structures at the back. You don't need a large speed difference to seriously hurt someone in a single-seater

Might still see someone loop it if it rains a bit harder.

Controversial opinion: there should be many SC exits and restart points on a track this long, so that you don't lose 25% of the race distance at each SC

edit: here we go, one more useless SC lap on a clear track, just because they missed the final sector by a few seconds.

But yeah, let's not rush it, someone might get hurt motor racing, let's not take a chance

If the FRegional accident hadn't happened, I wonder if they would have restarted the race today.
Well, whatever.

Is what Brundle saying correct? Because there wasn't 2 straight laps of racing, there won't be any points given?

I don't know if that rule applies to F3 and F2. At least there were 3 partial laps, but whether that counts I dunno. There wasn't a a single "full" green lap, so that's correct

Pretty unfair on the drivers. On any other track it wouldn't be an issue.

On the other hand, if there was a T1 pileup, restart, another T1 pileup, restart, another T1 pileup, race over, it wouldn't be fair to give points for such "race".
When creating the rule for non-points races, they had to draw the line somewhere. 2 laps of green racing isn't too much to be asked. I wouldn't personally award points for anything less than 10%. But when you start counting partial green flags and many laps behind the SC, it gets tricky.
It's also interesting that once you have done those 2 green flags, race director can continue the race under the SC for any laps in order to get full points. So we can end up having 2 racing laps + 50 laps behind the SC, and that's allowed, even though many would argue that full points shouldn't be awarded then.
