Will there be the need for Bump Day if there's only 33 cars entered?

It isn't like the glory days anymore, when Penske didn't make the 95 race.

Today is the day to resolve TURBOGATE! I hope @indcar [sic] gets their act together. It has been embarassing.

As in #3 qualified in Pole Day, can the #3T attempt to qualify on bump day?

I don't think there's anything in the rules against it. Hell, if I was IndyCar, I'd encourage it.

I was thinking about that, the possibility of a Lotus team making a deal with a big team to use a backup car, in the case of them being way off the pace come pole qualifying.

Answer is there isn't. Well unless you count the series organisors being highly strung and overly sensitive to constructive criticism.
