Why?

Ask Turvey why he didn´t served it.

Don't serve penalty in time = disqualification IMO.

The penalty was for jump start if you ask that.

Also, by the provisional results some info. Times when team has finished 7-8 in feature race, therefore conquering front row for sprint
2005 Imola ART Grand Prix
2005 Sakhir BCN Competicion
2006 Imola BCN Competicion
2007 Barcelona Racing Engineering
2008 Monaco Trident Racing
2010 Istanbul Racing Engineering
2010 Silverstone iSport International

Carlin has the feat now, but we have to wait for official results.

Turvey was given a penalty for a jump start, as was Bianchi and someone else.

Giedo van der Garde is not a happy chappy

Quote:
“For the second consecutive week, an incredibly stupid action by Jules Bianchi has cost me important points for the GP2 championship,” van der Garde wrote in a blog for The Netherlands’ Telegraaf newspaper. “Last Sunday in Barcelona, he hit me at the start of the Sprint Race and now he’s ridden over the top of me in Monaco as well. An example of pure ignorance on his part and I'm doomed yet again.”

The Addax driver also shared his opinions over the ART pilot receiving no punishment for his Monte Carlo wrongdoing.

“He first had a ridiculously low penalty (in Barcelona), disproportionate for what he had done,” van der Garde continued. “Indeed, I got a five-place drop on the grid (from Monaco pole position) for something I really didn’t do, and he gets the same for his madcap action. GP2 is real politics sometimes. Bianchi’s manager is Nicolas Todt, son of FIA President Jean Todt; For France, it’s important that another Frenchman is in Formula 1, so both Grosjean and Bianchi in a way get a lot of backing from them.

“It is now important that my team stresses to the FIA that this must not continue. What punishment should Bianchi have? Starting at least ten positions further back for the next race in Valencia - hopefully he’d then learn from it for once.”

Talking about the Todt's being against him goes a little too far in my opinion. Neither Nicalos nor Jean have any inflouence on the race results/punishments, or have they?

From Eurosports short highlights it was hard to tell, but the results indicate a good race yesterday. Anyone see the full race, did they show any of Grosjean romping from the back to 4th? Fingers crossed tonights isn't just highlights and they show the full race.

It was a fairly decent race. Nothing massive to shout about, but it was quite entertaining

No delay for GP2? The start should be in half an hour.

EDIT: 4:30 pm start delayed.
