It's kinda obvious way they went with the design. Or, actually, even if Dan would still be here, the 2011 Indy was awesome enough to justify this design.

There's probably going to be a moment of silence just before the Indy and at St.Petersburg races for Dan.

They've named a street for him.

In a cruel way it is, he's playing with an Indycar, probably enjoying it, all those buttons to push and funny shapes to play with, but by the time he's old enough to comprehend just what that particular model car means to his family, he'll have absolutely no genetic memory of his dad, just photo's and video to look at.

Hopefully the cars aren't too reliable this year. I miss having some blown engines/mechanical issues to shake things up.

It's kind of Honda's fault, but that's the product of having only one engine manufacturer for quite some time.
