I agree about the character thing, the old layout was a throwback to years past, it was something different. Yes it was an easy track to drive, but it was a test for engines. Not to mention it was one of the few tracks where slipstreaming was effective.

NASCAR has done stupid things in recent years, but nothing is more stupid than running Nationwide at the Brickyard. Taking away one of the few tracks that had featured in the schedule since the start and replacing it with a track they shouldn't even be racing at is just dumb.
