Slow zones have been quietly more dangerous compared to any other caution type period and no-one talks about it Causing more carnage than they're saving now.... Yeah, I don't really get this safe zone concept...saw another check-up accident in the Ferrari Challenge race at Le Mans earlier today. Ho...

Pruett is back from France and has compiled chapter 2 of Silly Season. https://racer.com/2023/06/16/indycar-silly-season-update-where-do-you-go-alex-palou/ tl;dr -As the title suggests, Palou's story has developed. It doesn't take a genius to see that he is doing much better where he is than any of ...

Round 12 is hosted by the final new venue on this year's calendar in the form of Portland International Raceway. Contrary to speculation, only minor modifications have been made to accomodate the series, the standout being a more rounded interpretation of the Festival Curves. https://resources.formu...

Daly should be very pleased with himself. Jumps in a somewhat foreign car with 15 minutes of practice and ends up beating his team-mate on merit and is also parked on the gearbox of his old car, less than 10 seconds behind his old team-mate.

It was the right choice, which is my point - there was no room for sentimentality or 'fairness', however it is defined. Williams made the right business choice, and so have Red Bull. Their development is already stunted because of the cost cap penalty and they are going to need a second driver who c...

The same Coulthard who was parked in the middle of his first season to be replaced by 40-year-old Mansell? That Coulthard?

It's quite something to have reached the point where NASCAR is far less hesitant about racing in the rain than F1 is.

I don't think a collision needs to be deliberate or caused through recklessness for it to get a penalty. Hamilton lost control of his car and Perez was giving him room, so the burden lies on Hamilton. It's not that much different from Silverstone a couple of years ago, except that Hamilton was furth...

The third article on Silly Season in 2 weeks from Pruett. https://racer.com/2023/08/16/indycar-silly-season-update-august-16-how-swede-it-is/ tl;dr -Floyd will keep his current geographical balance, but the Swedish element will look different. Lundqvist should be confirmed in the #8 very shortly, an...

I hope they don't touch the grass. The grass isn't the problem, the fact that the car turned over on its own initiative is. Take the grass away and Preece instead hits the inside wall the wrong way up at 150+.

Palou needs to finish 5th at Portland to guarantee the title. Dixon has to finish no worse than 5th to hope to keep it a fight.

With one domino now fallen, Pruett again appraises the rest of Silly Season. https://racer.com/2023/08/26/indycar-silly-season-update-august-26-chasing-the-phoenix-and-faux-palou/ tl;dr -Lundqvist remains on track to fill the #8, as does Armstrong in his attempt to drive all the races. -Ericsson is ...

This makes 5. In addition to the 4 Alex mentioned, the first corner and pit exit were reprofiled after the first race.

It will never be dropped as it is part of a racket to force drivers into doing F3 and then F2 as opposed to alternative championships, which killed the alternatives that existed at the time and now prevents new alternatives from starting up and threatening the hegemony.

If you have time, and are interested, it may be worth trawling through Atlas' thread on the race; https://forums.autosport.com/topic/2209 ... es-gp-2023.

In particular, the posts by 'loki' are very illuminating as he is a local.
