Darrell was jokin...
NASCAR really took off in the mid 90s with that rule package. Why don't we just go back to that ? Every race doesn't need to be a blockbuster event and every race doesn't need to be controversial. I like races to end with the dominant car winning, not the car who took 4 tires. I like guy to be in 17...
43 people holding a can don't hold a can anymore. Meanwhile every time we shop at Walmart a buncha kids probably died to make sure that shirt could cost $6.97.
Point being, let's not pretend we care about someone losing their part time job.
For anyone interested, TSL Timing have recently started updating their site with results dating back to 2002 - previously it only went back to 2006. This includes BTCC, BSB and club results, among others. They have an archive as far back as 2000 but I don't know if that will ever become available.

I saw someone (on FB I think) comment on standing on lap 13 and 14, 13 for Ward, 14 for Stewart. I thought that'd be more appropriate. And they chose Bristol - the perfect track for a fanstand demonstration on two sequential laps with 16 second lap times and 360' grandstands. http://www.clicksmilie...
Since no one is entitled to their opinion about disagreeing with Nascar's lame new rules or shitty racing without being labeled a drama queen or told to stop watching races, can we just stop calling this thread 'Random NASCAR Discussion' and re-title it 'Random NASCAR Agreement'?
We should start a discussion where we list ten things we like about NASCAR and ten things we don't. I'll start. Things I like: 1) The cars are really loud 2) 43 of the world greatest drivers every weekend have a chance to win 3) The pit stops 4) Side by side racing, every lap. 5) Have to go to churc...
I took some photos of the Sprint Vision screens while it showed the replays of the big modified wreck, gives an idea of how wild it was. The ACT race ended on lap 44 due to darkness after a big pileup on the backstretch, couldn't tell what happened cause it was so dark, all I could see was lots of s...
I had never seen the Earl Truck wreck before... the pictures make it look way worse than it actually was, but then again, it *could* have been a lot worse.
